From admission letter to visa stamp, here is exactly how the student visa process works for MBBS abroad and how Shiksha helps at every stage.
Step 1 β Admission letter
Once the university confirms admission, they issue an official admission letter on letterhead. This letter is the first document needed for the visa application.
Step 2 β Ministry invitation / Apostille
For Russia, Belarus and Uzbekistan, the host-country Ministry of Education issues an official invitation letter (takes 30β45 days). For Kazakhstan and Georgia, an apostilled offer letter is enough. We coordinate this directly with the university.
Step 3 β Visa application
Visa application is submitted at the embassy / consulate in Delhi or Mumbai, along with admission letter, invitation, passport, photos, fees and supporting documents. We prepare the full file and accompany the student for submission.
Step 4 β Visa interview (if applicable)
Some embassies conduct a short visa interview. Questions are basic β why this country, why this university, who is paying fees, future plans. We share interview prep notes and conduct mock interviews.
Step 5 β Visa stamp and travel
Visa is typically issued in 7β15 working days. After stamping, we book group travel β usually a chartered batch with our representative. Airport pickup at the destination is arranged with the university.
Common visa rejection reasons
Insufficient bank balance, mismatched document spellings, incomplete medical reports, expired NEET result, or applying too close to the intake date are the main rejection reasons. Plan to apply at least 60 days before the intake.
